Keep your Pooch Entertained with these Top 3 Games

Have you ever noticed your dog sighing out of despair and just walking around your house hopelessly trying to entertain himself. Well if you did, I'm sure you would have drove to the nearest pet shop to get some toys. You buy a basket full of toys and you drive back home tossing him his new toys. He gets excited and plays with them for a while and then he sits in front of you with a ball in his mouth. Never did you expect that he needs company even when playing with his toys. Dogs love playing with their pack leaders new games. In this article, I might just share with you the TOP 3 doggie games that you can play with your pooch.

Tug of War

Nothing can beat the classical game of tug that has been a favourite amongst humans. Dogs also love playing tug of war with their pack leader. Tug does not only keep a dog entertained but also is an engaging and great physical exercise for your dogs.

Tug can be the most rewarding and motivating games for your furry friends if spent a lot of time with. The one important rule when playing tug with your dog is  your dog must not touch your skin or he's out. Also keep the tug level same with his neck level.

Frisbee

Frisbee and the old-school fetch have almost the same rules and gameplay. It is a 21st century remastered fetch game that exercises the leg muscles and stamina of your pooch as it requires long distance running. In short, frisbee is a fun and engaging game that dogs tend to enjoy.
Maybe I'd start out with the classical fetch and then slowly shifting to frisbee after he's got the hang of it. You should also pick a soft disc rather than the hard ones as it might discourage them from catching it because it'll just hit them in the face. Rub the disc around his face first to get him pumped up and then toss it at a short distance.
If he seems less interested, try rolling it on the ground a few times to get him used to the disc. Take baby steps in the distance and gradually increasing the distance in time. Feel free to reward him once he caught or tried to catch the disc.

Hide n' Seek

Dogs get hyper about the game of hide n' seek and they never seem to get bored of it.( EVEN IF YOU USE THE SAME LOCATION OF HIDING). Hide n' seek does not only make them excited but also enable them to maximize their natural scent tracking abilities which is very beneficial.
The gameplay is simple, have your pooch stay in a place while you explore challenging hiding spots. You can hide the toy that he loves the most to get him more desperate to find. Once you have hid it, just call your dog over and watch how he busts his way to his toy. For this game, you would need to train your dog some basic obedience training like sit and stay. With the right measures, this game can just be perfect.
